PROJECT OVERVIEW

BobChat was the largest university-wide chatbot in existence, spanning over 30 areas of student life, from academic deadlines and tutoring schedules to recreational activities and wellness resources.

As a product design intern at NYU's Office of Student UX, I worked with a team of designers, developers, and content creators to design, develop, launch, and maintain the chatbot from 2018 to 2020.

IMPACT / REFLECTION

BobChat served over 45,000 members of the NYU community and reached 1,000 of those users within 24 hours of launch.

Some of the skills I learned while working on BobChat include:

  • Leveraging data analytics to make product decisions

  • Designing information architecture

  • Writing UX content with brand voice in mind

  • Creating motion graphics and other marketing materials

  • Conducting a competitor analysis

  • Working with Chatfuel and DialogFlow.
