NOURA
COMING SOON (GRADUATE THESIS @ NYU)
NOURA is a narrative-driven video game that considers how children cope with and process pain. Users play as Noura, a five-year-old Pakistani girl living in the Middle East, as she navigates the hostility embedded in her internal and external environments. This game aims to encourage children and adults to cultivate and draw on their inner resources to heal and manage trauma. The narrative is driven by personal experience and guided by therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems therapy.
